Stephen King is no stranger to comics. He wrote an introduction for Batman’s 400th issue over two decades ago, and his work is always being adapted to other media, specifically film and TV. When Marvel adapted his Dark Tower novels last year, there were midnight openings of comic shops amid heavy mainstream attention. Now another one of the prolific novelist’s tales gets the sequential art treatment – The Stand. You can see the trailer for the creepy endemic epic at Marvel’s site here. The miniseries, officially entitled, The Stand: Captain Trips is 5 issues long and is written by Roberto Agguire-Sasca, with art by Mike Perkins.
